This memo serves to update the status of federally protected species for the above -referenced
project.
Species: Schweinitz's sunflower (Helianthus schweinitzii)
Survey Date: 8/28/2018
Survey Information: Surveyed for Schweinitz's sunflower in 8/28/2018. Study area surveyed:
500' north and east of Bridge No. 15, 100' from the centerline of NC-66. Survey results: suitable
habitat present within study area, but no specimens of targeted plants observed within study area.
A known occurrence with low accuracy is located within 1.0 mile per NCNHP records dated July
2018.
Length of Survey: 1.00 Person Hour
Biological Conclusion: May Affect — Not Likely to Adversely Affect
