Dear Ms. Groome,
The Pretreatment, Emergency Response and Collection Systems (PERCS) Unit of the Division of Water
Resources has reviewed the Industrial Waste Survey (IWS) submitted by the City of Greensboro. This IWS
was originally received by the Division on September 30, 2019, with a follow up on December 27, 2019.
The submission was exceptional. We apologize for the late response.
The review indicates that the IWS is adequate and meets the minimum requirements of 40 CFR 403.8
(f)(2). Proper completion of an Industrial Waste Survey is also required by the City's NPDES permit. Please
refer to the Comprehensive Guidance for North Carolina Pretreatment Programs (Comprehensive Guide)
for additional information and examples. The next IWS will be due April 1, 2024.
