Dear Mr. Robinson,
On November 14, 2000, I met with you at the subject property located northwest of NC 11155, south of
Kinston, Lenoir County, NC (see attached map). The purpose of this meeting was to determine the
applicability of one stream feature and one pond feature located on the property to the Neuse River
Riparian Buffer Protection Regulations (15A NCAC 2B .0233).
As a result of this meeting it was determined that the stream feature indicated as "A" on the attached
Kinston, NC, USGS topographic quadrangle map and "A" on the Lenoir County, USDA Soil Survey does
not exist in the field and is therefore not subject to the riparian buffer protection rules within the Boone
Tract. In addition, it was determined that the pond feature indicated as "B" on the USGS topo map is a
pond built outside of a natural drainage way and is therefore not subject to the riparian buffer protection
rules. No other stream features within the property were evaluated during this meeting.
This letter only addresses the applicability of 15A NCAC 2B .0233(3) and does not authorize any activity
within the protected buffers. Nor does this letter address any potential jurisdictional wetlands that may
