Dear Ms. Karoly:
We are submitting the additional information requested from written correspondence
on February 12, 2007. Keller Environmental and Crowley and Associates appreciate Ms.
Annette Lucas' assistance with the level spreaders for this and other similar current projects.
We are requesting for NC Division of Water Quality (NCDWQ) written approval under
Section 401, Clean Water Act, 33 USC 1344. This will assist in compliance with Water
Quality Certification (WQC) 3404 and it's accompanying Nationwide Permit (NWP) 14. We
have addressed your included written comments in the following paragraphs.
1. Please include detail of level spreader.
Please refer to the attached Level Spreaders Details Drawing LS1 Sheet. As
shown in the drawing, the new 2007 level spreader guidelines will be incorporated.
2. Level spreaders may not be placed in series to achieve the required
length. Please redesign level spreader 2.
Please refer to the attached Level Spreaders Details (LS1) and Locations (LS2)
Sheets.
3. Level spreaders may not be designed with angled ends. Please redesign.
Please refer to the attached Level Spreaders Details (LS1) and Locations (LS2)
Sheets.
