The information that was received by the Raleigh Regional Office on April 11, 2000 has been reviewed. The
plat map and other information was provided to allow a determination to be made as to whether or not the
site would require compliance with the Neuse Buffer Rule. This specific project is referenced by the Raleigh
Regional Office as NBRQO 00-122.
A site visit was conducted May 1, 2000 to evaluate the feature8 represented on the Wake County Soils and
the USGS 0-gad maps to determine their subjectivity to the Neuse Buffer Rule. It was determined that the
pond depicted on the maps was constructed in uplands and is not connected to a water body subject to
jurisdiction . Therefore, according the We, this property is not subject to the Neuse River Basin: Nutrient
Sensitive Waters ManWment Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of 1';xi8tin8 Riparian Areas, Administrative
Code T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC 0233).
This letter addresses only the applicability of the Neuse Riparian Buffer Rule. Thank you for your attention
