y I have reviewed the information that you have submitted to determine if this timber operation is subject to
w the requirements of the 15A NCAC 2B .0259 Tar-Pamlico River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters
Management Strategy: Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Buffers) on the above referenced
property.
ta The plat map and other information was provided to allow a determination to be made as to whether or not
. the site would require compliance with the Tar Pamlico Buffer Rule. This specific project is referenced by
'-4 the Raleigh Regional Office as NBRRO 00-236. On August 29,2000 we conducted a site visit and the
features represented on the Nash County Soils and the Spring Hope USGS Quad maps were evaluated to
determine their subjectivity. It was determined that there is a feature depicted as an unnamed tributary on
*'^r " the Soils Map that is subject to the Tar Pamlico Riparian Buffer Rule. The area of subjectivity began near
s the confluence of a ditch with the stream proper.
