Subject: Courtesy notification for the use of a NW 3 & 13 request for pipe replacement and rip rap
placement on SR 1115 (White Oak Rd) in Washington County.
This is a courtesy notification from the North Carolina Department of Transportation for the use of
a NW 3 & 13 permits for the replacement of a pipe and rip rap placement on SR 1115 in Washington
County. The pipe is located 190 ft from the intersection of SR 1181 (White Oak Loop Rd) (35.84345,
76.73034). The existing pipes are 2 @ 72" x 48' Corrugated Metal Pipe. The pipes will be completely
removed, following NCDOT BMP's for pipe replacement. The proposed pipes are 2 @ 117" x 75" x 50'
Corrugated Aluminum Alloy Pipe Arch with rip rap on both ends. The project will have 2' of stream
impacts due to the additional length of pipe. During the project construction it is anticipated that dewatering
will not be necessary and turbidity curtains will be utilized. Permit drawings and a site location map are
