Completion Notification
Dear Ms.Culpepper:
In accordance with NC Environmental Management Commission Special Order by Consent, EMC WQ S18-009, Duke
Energy Carolinas, LLC (Duke) is hereby submitting this notification that a physical chemical treatment system has
been installed and began treating 800 gallons per minute of the decanting flow on January 6,2020. With the startup
of the physical chemical treatment system and the receipt of NPDES Permit NC0024406, discharge to outfall 003 has
been rerouted to outfall 006. This notification fulfills our obligation found in the subject Orders Sections 2(a)(5)and
2(a)(3).
