The Raleigh Regional Office staff have reviewed your request dated September 20,2018 for
a determination that stormwater discharge outfall (SDO) -1 be granted representative outfall status
(ROS) for stormwater outfalls SDO-2,SDO-5,SDO-6A,and SDO-613. Based on the compliance
evaluation inspection conducted by Thad Valentine and Natalie Norberg on January 24,2020,the
Raleigh Regional Office cannot approve your request at this time.
According to Mr.Valentine there are no past or present records showing that the
Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan has been implemented. Analytical and qualitative records
were not available or been analyzed for the inspection. Ideally a minimum of eight(8) to ten (10)
analytical and qualitative samples are needed to support the assertion of similar or less stormwater
pollution potential in the sub-drainage areas to be represented. When evidence supports ROS after
eight(8) to ten (10) analytical and qualitative sample events,you may request ROS consideration
from this office.
