December 18, 2019 Building Construction Products Division RECEIVED 5000 Womack Road Sanford,North Carolina 27330 JAN 07 2020 DENR-LAND QUALITY Division of Water Resources(DWR) STORMWATER PERMITTING 1617 Mail Service Center Raleigh,North Carolina 27699-1617 To Whom It may Concern, Please find attached(COC Number NCG030447) our Semi-Annual Stormwater Discharge Monitoring Report for Caterpillar located at 5000 Womack Rd., Sanford,NC. Upon reviewing the report you will notice that our outfall location is above the benchmark range for total suspended solids, copper and zinc which requires us to perform a"Tier One"according to the permit. We have conducted a stormwater inspection of our facility since the sampling period and have potentially identified some possible causes of the exceedance of the established benchmark. We will implement some operational control measures for the parameter's of concern, with the anticipation of bringing the concentration's within regulatory limit. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to call me. A"measurable storm event"is a storm event that results in an actual discharge from the permitted site outfall. The previous measurable storm event must have been at least 72 hours prior. The 72-hour storm interval does not apply if the permittee is able to document that a shorter interval is representative for local storm events during the sampling period, and the permittee obtains approval from the local DEMLR Regional Office. —I By this signature, I certify that this report is accurate and complete to the best of my knowledge: t1 (Signature of Permittee or Designee) 1.
