Approximately 8.5 percent of the drainage area is paved or roofed. To the east, the North Coal Basin emergency spillway discharges into a riprap channel. A proposed headwall prevents the emergency spillway overflow from entering this drainage area. The emergency spillway was designed to protect the structural integrity of the basin embankments by overflowing during the 100-year storm. The access roads are utilized by trucks transporting chemicals, POL, and fly ash. Significant Materials Wastewater Treatment Chemicals: Aboveground storage tanks are located at the WWTP. Chemical transport trucks utilize the access roads. Fuel Oil: Tanker trucks utilize the access roads within this drainage area. Fly Ash: Fly ash is trucked along the access roads within this drainage area. BC-159-003 1 REV.
