On January 19, 2000, I met with you to conduct a site visit of the property involved in the above referenced project.
The features represented on the Wake County Soils and the U6G8 maps were evaluated to determine their subjectivity
to the Neuse Buffer Rule. This specific project is referenced by this Office as NBDRO 00056.
It was determined that the there are three features on the property that are subject to the Neuse Diver Basin: Nutrient
Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code
T15A:025.0233 (NCAC 0233). These features have been delineated on the material received by this Office with the
required fifty foot riparian buffer. Please be reminded that the stream crossings aresubject to approval by the
Central Office. The Rules state; "road crossing that impact equal to or less than 150 linear feet or one third of acre
of riparian buffer are allowable with approval".
This letter addresses only the applicability of the Riparian Buffer Rules. Thank you for your attention to this matter
