Approval of 401 Water Quality Certification (GC3641) and Authorization Certificate per the Neuse River Buffer Protection
Rules (15A NCAC 2B.0233)
Dear Mr. & Mrs. Taylor:
The Washington Regional Office received your application for a CAMA Major Permit from the Division of Coastal Management on
September 25, 2009. The impacts proposed are for a boardwalk and pier with proposed impacts of 0.016 acres of open waters, 0.10
acres of 404 wetlands, and 900 square feet of Neuse Riparian buffer impacts as described in your application. This Certification can
also be found on line at: http://h2o.enr.state.nc.us/ncwetlands/certs.htm1. This letter shall also act as your approved Authorization
Certificate for impacts to the protected riparian buffers per 15A NCAC 2B .0233. You are authorized to proceed with your project as
proposed under General Water Quality Certification (WQC) # 3641 (enclosed). This Certification allows you to use the CAMA
Major Permit when the Division of Coastal Management issues it. Written concurrence from the Division of Water Quality
(DWQ) is not required provided that you can meet all of the conditions of the General Water Quality Certification.
If at anytime during construction of your project you determine that you cannot meet these conditions or if there are any additional
impacts to wetlands or water quality not described in your application, you must contact this office immediately. If you have any
