One Notice of Violation was issued for violations in June 2018 and an Enforcement was issued for violations in March 2019. June 2018 Violationa: One weekly average exceeded and the monthly average was exceeded for Ammonia and one Ph limit violation. March 2019 Violations: TSS monthly average violation and a weekly average violation for BOD violations. The Kinston WWTP: NC0024236 was inspected 01/28/2019 and the facility was found to be satisfactory overall. The plant was obviously well maintainted and run by a good team. However the following issues were noted during the inspection and should be adressed as soon as reasonably possible. -Excess ammount of sludge due to the new drier not producing as anticipated. It is expected that this issue will be resolved as soon as possible. -Flow meter was currently operational at time of inspection. However, the flow meter cannot be calibrated within 10% due to being dammaged by a recent power surge. It was noted that the facility is currently in the process of purchasing a new effluent meter. At the time of inspection (01/28/2020) Kinston WWTP: NG0024236 is considered compliant.
