Subject: RE: NCG020944 - Sawyers Quarter Road Mine
Shane,
Thanks greatly for the information/update. Based on my review of the mining permit request/application materials, I do
not anticipate the dewatering to impact any adjacent wetlands/streams or cause any other obvious water quality
issues/standards violations, so I have no issues with the issuance of the Certificate of Coverage (CoC) for this mine
facility.

Chris,
Sawyers Quarter Road Mine mining application was modified and approved to dewater, and thus I can go ahead and
issue a CoC for the facility. Is there any issue with me issuing a CoC for this facility?
Thanks,
