` An evaluation of the stream features were performed to determine whether die site would require
compliance with the Ncusc buffer Qulc. This specific project is referenced by the Qaleigh Regional Office
as NbQQO-278.
e•''` The features represented on the Wake County Soils and the USCS maps were evaluated to determine their subjectivity
to the Neuse buffer Qulc. It was determined that there are two features (crocks) that form the pond that are depicted
on the maps That are subject to the Neusc Qivcr Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Stratevoy; Protection and
Maintenance of txisUn8 Qiparian Meal, Administrative Code T15A:0215.0233 (NCAC 0233). The map received by this
Office on December 28, 1999 depict; the required buffer around these two features and the pond.
The road crossing at the dam (lower end of the pond indicated as open space) is an existing use. If the
buffer impacts arc minimized, is no addition buffer removal and storm water delivery through the buffer as
sheet flow into the stream, no PCN should be required for this crossing. The Ncuse buffer Qule requires
maintaining the existing buffer on both sides of the road and this Office recommends no curb and gutter
in this area to attain sheet flow.
