NOTES:
A) MINIMUM WIDTH OF CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE PAD SHALL BE 20 FT.
SEE PLANS FOR LOCATION, ACTUAL WIDTH AND CONFIGURATION.
B) STONE SHALL BE CRUSHED AGGREGATE BASE.
C) THE ENTRANCE SHALL BE MAINTAINED TO PREVENT TRACKING OR FLOW-
ING OF SEDIMENT ONTO ROADWAY. THIS MAY REQUIRE PERIODIC TOP
DRESSING WITH ADDITIONAL STONE AND REPAIR AND/OR CLEANOUT OF ANY
MEASURES USED TO TRAP SEDIMENT.

MAINTENANCE OF GRASS LINED CHANNELS
During grass establishment period, check channel after every rainfall.
After grass is established, periodically check the channel; check it
after every heavy rain event and make repair immediately. Remove al
significant sediment. Keep the grass in healthy, vigorous condition
at all times
MAINTENANCE OF TEMPORARY AND PERMANENT SEEDING
Inspect seeded areas for failure and make necessary repairs, soil
amendments, and reseedings. Monitor the site until long term stabilit
has been established
DIVERSION DITCH MAINTENANCE
Inspect diversion ditches periodically for wear and after every heap
rainfall for erosion damage. Immediately
remove sediment from the flow area and repair ditch. When
permanent road drainage is established , remove the ditch and
fill channel to blend with the natural ground, and appropriately
stabilize the disturbed area.
JUTE MESH LINED DITCH MAINTENANCE
Inspect jute mesh at least weekly and after each significant
(1/2" or greater) rain fall event and repair immediately.
Good contact with the ground must be maintained and erosion
must not occur beneath matting. Any damaged
area shall be repaired and stapled. Monitor and repair
jute mesh lined ditches as necessary until ground cover
is established.
18"RIP RAP DITCHES MAINTENANCE
OVERLAPti,'/
Rip Rap should be inspected periodically for scour c
dislodged stones and control of weed and brush
JOIN STRIPS BY ANCHORING growth.

MAINTENANCE OF SEDIMENT BASIN
Check sediment basins after periods of significant runoff
Remove sediment and restore the basin to its original
dimensions when sediment accumulates to one half the
TYPICAL JUTE MESH LINED DITCH design depth. Check the embankment, spillways, and
outlet for erosion damage, and inspect the embankment
NTS for piping and and settlement. Make all necessary repair
immediately. Remove all trash and othr debris from
and pool area.

Maintain gravel pad in a condition to prevent mud or sediment from leaving the
construction site. This may require top dressing with stone. after each. After
each rainfall, inspect any area trapping sediment and clean it out as necessary.
Immediately remove all objectionable materials spilled, washed, or tracked ont
public roadway.
SEDIMENT FENCE MAINTENANCE
Inspect sediment fences at least once a week and after each raifall. Make any
required repairs immediately. Repair or replace the fabric of sediment fence if
collapsed, tore, decomposed or become ineffective. Remove sediment deposit
as necessary to provide adequate storage volume for the next rain and to
reduce pressure on the fence. Take care to avoid undermining the fence
during cleanout. Remove all fencing materials and unstable sediment deposits
and bring the area to grade and stabilize it after the contributing
drainage area has been stabililzed. The contractor shall remove from behinc
silt fence when it becomes 0.5 ft deep at the fence
CHECK DAM MAINTENANCE
Inspect check dams and channels for damage after each runoff event.
p g
Chec submergence and deposition above the check dam and erosion
from high flows around the edges. Correct all damage immediately. if
significant erosion occurs between dams, install protective rip rap linear
in that portion of the channel.
Remove sediment accumulated behind the dams and allow the channel
to drain through the stone check dam. Add stone to check dam as needed
SILT FENCE OUTLET PROTECTION
Inspect silt fence outlet at least once a week and after each significant rainfall
(1/2 inch or greater). Clear mesh wire from any debris or othr objects to provide
adequate flow for subsequent rains. Remove sediment and and to gravel
when needed. Should fabric or wire of fence collapse, remove and replace
and add gravel as needed. When removing sediment, take care not to damage
or undercut the wire mesh or fabric and add replace stone as needed
