Inspection Summary:
Met with Vincent Mollo the Environmental Coordinator for UPS -NC Zone at the United Parcel Service Southern Pines for a
compliance inspection. Facility's Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SPPP) and monitoring reports were provided for
review. SPPP appeared to contain all permit required components along with documentation related to annual updates,
including employee training, and listing of spills (none). Site facility has a spill prevention and response plan on site. Staff
recommends adding a note in the SPPP where this information is located on site. There are 2 outfalls that are identified in
the SPPP both were observed during inspection. The facility was informed to cleanout the catch basin by outfall 1. Overall
the facility appeared to be well maintained and operated at time of inspection.
