Please see my below comments concerning the Applications for NCG210480 and NCG130096.
NCG210480:
I met with Randy Crowder on January 22, 2020. 1 discussed permit requirements with him, and discussed where his
outfall would be. (35.80759,-82.01456) That being noted, I recommend that coverage be granted under the NCG210000
as proposed.
NCG130096:
I met with Randy Crowder on January 22, 2020. 1 discussed permitting requirements with him. I believe that the NCG13
may not be the best suited General Permit for his facility. The build new pallets as well as recycle old ones, and there are
a few areas where sawdust is allowed to accumulate on site. I recommend that this facility be covered instead under the
NCG21. I spoke with Mr. Crowder about this issue during the inspection. I informed him that (depending on your
decision in Raleigh) he may need to submit an additional NOI to reflect this. The outfalls for this facility would be located
(at a minimum) at (35.660667,-81.96964) and (35.66086,-8196903).
