Subject: U-5875 Allen Road - Redd property
Hi,
As discussed in our conference call today, please see the direction on the Redd Property on Allen Road after discussions
with Garcy and Jeff:
Jeff Cabaniss has agreed to include a location for a left turn into and a separate right turn only drive for the Redd parcel
73 along Allen Road. Garcy has agreed to include in the plan the 18" pipe needed for a proposed left turn into Parcel
73. The grading and drainage including the swale and 18" pipe will be included in the NCDOT construction. The Storm
Water Management Plan will need to reflect the correct information correlating with the inclusion of the pipe through
part of the swale. Curb cuts will be placed at the agreed upon locations. The median left turn/storage to accommodate
the left turn into the bulb out and future development may remain in order to avoid future construction in the
median. Driveways and the right turn lane into the Redd property are the developer's responsibility and will be
constructed by the developer. Upon their submittal, the developers plan will need to be reviewed by the NC Division of
Water Quality and by NCDOT to be sure it complies with Jeff's and Garcy's requirements prior to approving an
encroachment/driveway permit.
Thanks,
Betty Ann Caldwell, PE
