The 3.5-acre site is currently being used as farmland. The scope of construction includes the proposed substation and breaker station with associated washed gravel area, security fence and two driveway connections. The total denuded area for the site is 2.9 acres. The project is located in the Lumber River Basin. The proposed stormwater conveyance will be achieved through sheet flow and perimeter grassed swales. During the initial and final stages of construction, erosion control measures will include erosion control fencing with outlets and diversion ditches. The proposed project is "Low Density". See below calculations for Built -upon area (BUA) that indicates project is "Low Density". Built -upon area (Proposed) Impervious Proposed = 0.04 acres Impervious Existing = 0 acres Total Area = 3.5 acres Per North Carolina Administrative Code 15A NCAC 02H .1003(1)(b), Calculation of Project Density is as follows: Project Density = (Total BUA) / (Total Project Area) = (0.04 acres) / (3.5 acres) = 1.1% Per above Calculations Project is "Low Density" Onsite soils within the study area include Coxville loam, (Co), and Norfolk loam sand, 0 to 2 percent (MaA). Numbers in parenthesis are PF estimates at lower and upper bounds of the 90% confidence interval. The probability that precipitation frequency estimates (for a given duration and average recurrence interval) will be greater than the upper bound (or less than the lower bound) is 5%. Estimates at upper bounds are not checked against probable maximum precipitation (PMP) estimates and may be higher than currently valid PMP values. A projection that preserves area, such as the Albers equal-area conic projection, should be used if more accurate calculations of distance or area are required. These survey areas may have been mapped at different scales, with a different land use in mind, at different times, or at different levels of detail. This may result in map unit symbols, soil properties, and interpretations that do not completely agree across soil survey area boundaries.
