Here's a screen shot of the AFSA shapefile I have for this area. It appears to be slightly different than the DMF map that
is online, but this file is maintained by DMF also. Sometimes the termination of these designations makes sense and
other times none. Deep Creek is still a sizeable system at the road crossing. I suspect anadromous species move up both
systems all the way to the road and at that point the crossings likely have a barrier effect on fish migration upstream. I
would recommend the February 15 to June 30 moratorium for in water work at these locations.

Travis,
We have a roadway widening project in Perquimans County on SR 1329 Woodville Road that will require two large
culvert replacements. One is on Deep Creek and the other is on Mills Creek. The concrete box culverts will be replaced
with aluminum box culverts. Both locations appear to be upstream of the inland AFSA waters on the NCDMF maps, but I
would like for you to verify that there would not be an in -water work moratorium requested by NCWRC. Maps of the
project location are attached.
