STIP Project U-5823
The City of Durham has hired Ramey Kemp & Associates to prepare environmental
documentation and design plans for the proposed Woodcroft Parkway Extension.
The proposed project involves extending Woodcroft Parkway on new location between
NC 751 (Hope Valley Road) and SR 1116 (Garrett Road). The project is scheduled for right of
way acquisition and construction in federal fiscal years 2020 and 2021, respectively. The
attached figure shows the project location and study area.
I would appreciate any information you might have that would be helpful in evaluating
potential environmental impacts of the project. If applicable, please identify any permits or
approvals which may be required by your agency. Your comments will be used in the
preparation of environmental documentation for this federally -funded project. It is anticipated
this project can be processed as a categorical exclusion. This document will be prepared in
accordance with the National Environmental Policy Act. It is desirable for your agency to
respond by February 21, 2020 for your comments to be used in the preparation of this document.
