This office has reviewed the subject Sedimentation and Erosion Control Permit Application.
We find the application to be acceptable and hereby issue this letter of approval. If any
stipulations or recommendations are applicable, a list is attached and is incorporated as a part
of this letter of approval. Pursuant to Section 3.8.5 of the Durham City-County Unified
Development Ordinance,plans for which no permit has been issued shall expire one year
from the approval date.
Please be advised that a copy 6f the approved plan must be on file at the job site, and a land-
disturbing permit must be obtained and prominently displayed. Pursuant to G.S. 113A-61 (d)
and Section 15.5.1 of the Durham City-County Unified Development Ordinance,you are
hereby notified that the Sedimentation and Erosion Control Office has the right to inspect the
site over the life of the project;to insure compliance with the approved plan and ordinance.
The Sedimentation and Erosion Control Program is performance oriented,requiring
protection of the natural resources and adjoining properties. If following the commencement
of this project it is determined'that the sedimentation and erosion control plan is inadequate
to meet the requirements of the Durham City-County Unified Development Ordinance, this
office may require revisions in the plan and its implementation to ensure compliance with the
Ordinance.
Pursuant to Section 12.10.6 of the Durham City-County Unified Development Ordinance,
prior to initiating land-disturbing activity, the person conducting such activity must notify the
sedimentation and erosion control office of the date that such activity will begin.

NC:G010000 Re uirements
As of April 1, 2019, all new construction activities are required to complete and submit an
electronic Notice of Intent(Nd)I) form requesting a Certificate of Coverage(COC)under the
NCGO10000 Construction Sto6water General Permit. This form MUST be submitted prior
to the commencement of any land disturbing activity on the above-named project. The NOI
form may be accessed at d -z c. ov/NCG01. Please direct questions about the NOI form to
Annette Lucas at [e-mail] or Paul Clark at [e-mail]. After
you submit a complete and coirect NOI Form, a COC will be emailed to you within three
business days. There is a$106.annual fee for coverage. This fee is to be sent to the DEMLR
Stormwater Central Office sVAT in Raleigh.
Title 15A NCAC 4B .0118(a)and the NCGO1 permit require that the following
documentation be kept on file at the job site:
1. The approved E&Sd plan as well as any approved deviation.
2. The NCGO1 permit d the COC, once it is received.
3. Records of inspectia s made during the previous 30 days.
It should also be noted that approval of an erosion control plan does not in any way
indicate approval of,or authorization to begin installation of Stormwater infrastructure
without City/County approved Construction Drawings.

Planning ❑epartment in the form of an approved site plan, Zoning Compliance
Checkoff, or other written approval.
2. Upon installation of'the tree protection fencing, if required, submit a Tree
Protection Fence Certifcatior)Form and call this office for an inspection.
3. Submit a permit fee made payable to Durham County in the amount of
$1,685.25.
