Annual Avg Daily Traffic (veh/hr/day): Design/Future: 4600 Year: 2040 Existing: 3434 Year: 2020 General Project Narrative: The project will replace Edgecombe County Bridge #87 and its approaches. The proposed replacement is 200' long with a clear roadway width of 32'. The structure provides 2- (Description of Minimization of Water 12' travel lanes with 4' shoulders. The proposed bridge will have 1.5:1 abutments and 4' caps at the end bents. There are wetlands within the proposed project limits. Placement Quality Impacts) and construction of the propoosed bridge end bents, caps and associated roadway fill will result in both temporary and permanent wetland impact. A temporary causeway is anticipated to be added, so temporary stream impacts will result to encompass this work pad. STORMWATER CONTROLS: The discharge upstream of the bridge discharges through inlet/pipe systems outside of the jurisdictional stream at non -erosive velocities. Roadway runoff is treated via vegetated roadway shoulders prior to entering the stream. Class II riprap will be placed under the bridge on either side of the channel at a minimum elevation of one foot above the natural water surface to provide bank stabilization and prevent impacts to the stream.
