SEWER NARRATIVE
The Town of Shallotte has an existing 6" force main on Main Street that carries all existing flow
from the older part of town to the existing Wall Street Pump Station. Due to a new proposed
development along the river front, that existing pump station will have to be demolished. This
proposed new Mulberry Park Pump Station will be located just north of Main Street in a new park
that is owned by the Town. The new pump station will replace the existing Wall Street pump
station and pump the flow through an existing 6" force main on Mulberry Street. There will be no
new flow associated with this new pump station. This project included the new pump station, as
well as two new 6" force mains (approximately 72' each) to carry flow to and from the new
wetwell.
