The purpose of this excavation is to provide boating access to a proposed marina at Sunset Point Excavation will be accomplished by using a longreach excavator, which will work from the shoreline. The excavated material will be trucked to a disposal site. The disposal site is owned by the applicant. A concrete launch ramp is also proposed. This launch ramp will be constructed of reinforced concrete and will be 6 inches thick, 14 feet wide extended from the fizll pool (lakeward) 120 feet. All of this work will be in accordance with the Alcoa SMP. All work will be preformed in the dry. This work will be accomplished during January and February of 2005. Enclosed for your review are copies of the Alcoa Excavation Application, location map and project drawing. To access the project from I-85 go east on Long Ferry Rd./SR 2120 to Goodman Lake Rd., turn right.
