Typical Cross Section Description: The proposed typical section on either side of the bridge will be normal crown with cross slope of 0.025, and consist of two 10' lanes with 3' paved shoulder and 3:1 side slopes to existing ground. The bridge typical section will be supered towards RT with a 0.025 cross slope, and consist of two 10' lanes with 2'-6" shoulder. Existing roadways consists of two 11' lanes, with 3' unpaved shoulders. Annual Avg Daily Traffic (veh/hr/day): Design/Future: 50 Year: 2016 Existing: 50 Year: 2016 General Project Narrative: (Description of Minimization of Water Quality Impacts) The project consists of improving roadway approaches as well as replacing the existing bridge. Existing drainage systems consist of low capacity roadside ditches and overland flow, all draining to wetlands and Meadow Branch. The existing bridge currently drains off the edge of the bridge directly to Meadow Branch. All existing drainage systems impacted by the proposed bridge replacement will be replaced with a proposed drainage system. Proposed drainage will be designed to maintain the same drainage patterns as the existing condition. Dissipator pads are provided at pipe outlets and areas where ditches outlet concentrated flow within buffer zones. Shoulder berm and gutter will be used to convey runoff from the bridge where it will be collected in the proposed inlets and discharged outside the buffer zone.
