Third Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant Additions

Dear Mr. Dickerson:
The final plans and specifications for the subject project have been reviewed
and found to be satisfactory. Authorization is hereby granted for the construction
of additions, consisting of two (2) flow equalising boxes and appurtenant piping,
chemical feed facilities, and: sludge thickener building, to the existing 4.0 MGD
extended aeration wastewater treatment plant consisting of an existing bar screen,
Parshall Flume, pumping station, dual aeration basins, dual clarifiers, chlorine
contact chamber, return sludge metering pit, aerobic digester, air floatation
sludge thickener, and existing plate and frame press.
This is a Class IV Wastewater Treatment Plant which requires the responsible
operator in charge to hold a valid Grade IV Certificate.
This Authorisation to Construct shall be subject to revocation unless the vaste-
water treatmentfacilities and additions are constructed in accordance with the con-
ditions and limitations specified in Permit No. NC0020591.
