Corrugated Metal Pipe Arch, appx. 40' in length on SR-1321 was blown out during Hurricane Florence. Emergency 84in. CMP appx 48' in length and Roadway fill was installed to establish temporary service. Emergency 84in. CMP is undersized and will not support high conveyance during major flood events. The proposed culvert is a 2@10'x6' RCBC with bevels, 51.5ft. in length, buried 1ft. with sills and filled with native material. Upstream invert 224.75ft. and downstream invert 224.75ft, slope 0.0%. Roadway drainage runs off on either side of the proposed roadway and disperses into wetlands and/or natural ground. Construction of the new culvert will take place while an off -site detour maintains traffic. Bank Stabilization rip rap will be installed as necessary to prevent streambank degradation.
