Subject: General Wastewater Permit Inspection
1990 Landover Drive
Certificate of Coverage # NCG550096
Forsyth County
Dear Mr. Borden:
On November 21, 2019, Gary Hudson of this office performed a Compliance Evaluation
Inspection on the wastewater treatment system at 1990 Landover Drive in Clemmons, NC.
Observations indicated that the subsurface sand filter was operating properly. Although
the discharge pipe was unable to be located, there was no evidence of a discharge, as the
creek bed was dry during the inspection. Please note some of the activities that must be
conducted and documented, in addition to the laboratory analyses required if the system
discharges:
Septic tanks shall be inspected at least yearly to determine if solids need to be
removed and pumped out every five years of when the solids level is found to be
more than 1/3 of the liquid depth in any compartment.
• The tablet chlorinator shall be inspected weekly to ensure there is an adequate
supply of tablets for continuous operation. Be sure to order more tablets and
replace them often enough to ensure continuous disinfection.
If you have any questions concerning this letter, please contact Gary Hudson at (336)
776-9694.
