NPDES general permit. This permit is issued pursuant to the requirements of North Carolina
General Statute 143-215.1 and the Memorandum of Agreement between North Carolina and the
US Environmental Protection Agency dated October 15, 2007 (or as subsequently amended).
Please take notice that this certificate of coverage is not transferable except after notice to
the Division of Water Quality. The Division of Water Quality may require modification or
revocation and reissuance of the certificate of coverage.
This permit does not affect the legal requirements to obtain other permits which may be
required by the Division of Water Quality or permits required by the Division of Land Resources,
Coastal Area Management Act or any other federal or local governmental permit that may be
required.

Robert,
About year ago, there was a big peanut oil spill at "Jimbos-Jumbos peanuts" facility. This facility was located to the
north of this one, more particularly at the corner of Peanut Drive and the Railroad. This spill caused us to do an
inspection and further actions. Bill Moore was in charge of this incident. At that time Jimbos Jumbos didn't have a
NPDES permit and our first order of business was to have them covered under a NCG06 permit. The NCG06 for Jimbos
Jumbos was issued about month ago. During our inspection of Jimbo Jumbos we noticed that this facility (Olam) was
doing the same business and we inspected them consequently. With couple of minor comments, the site was in good
order. We asked them to apply for the coverage under NCG06 and we left them a NOL
Long story short, I don't see any problems in issuing this permit.
If you need any more information, Bill Moore can help you better with it. I will let him know that this facility has applied
for a permit.

We have received an application for coverage of an existing facility under NCG 06. The facility drains to an UT to Queen
Anne Creek (class C; NSW) in Edenton (Chowan County). No vehicle maint, or haz. waste. Does the WaRO have any
concerns about issuing this facility a COC for this general permit?
