Skvarla, III Secretary July 15, 2014 Subject: General Permit No. NCG020000 Eure Sand Mine COC NCG020811 Gates County In accordance with your application for a discharge permit, we are forwarding herewith the subject certificate of coverage to discharge under the state stormwater - NPDES general permit for mining operations. This permit is issued pursuant to the requirements of North Carolina General Statute 143-215.1 and the Memorandum of Agreement between North Carolina and the US Environmental Protection Agency dated October 15, 2007 (or as subsequently amended). Please take notice that this certificate of coverage is not transferable except after notice to the Division of Energy, Mineral, and Land Resources. The Division may require modification or revocation and reissuance of the certificate of coverage. Please be aware that mine dewatering at your site has the potential to impact adjacent wetlands. Your application indicated that you would have only stormwater discharge from your facility. If activities at your site change and there is a need for dewatering activities you will need to modify this permit coverage along with your mining permit (37-06) to allow for dewatering activities. Please note that the attached pennit expires on December 31, 2014. Your COC will be autoinatrcally renewed to cover the full 5 year tenn of the soon to be reissued permit. In the interim you must abide by the terms of the expiring permit.
