STORMWATER DISCHARGE PERMITS
Public comment or objection to the draft permits is invited. Submit written comments to DEMLR at the address below.
All comments received through Friday, September 27, 2019 will be considered in the final determination regarding
permit issuance and permit provisions.
Applications: The following facilities have applied for renewal of their NPDES permits to discharge stormwater from
their locations in Gaston County.
• Color Mate Incorporated, 5025 South York Road, Gastonia, NC. The facility discharges to Crowders Creek, a class C
waterbody in the Catawba River Basin. Permit No. NCS000163.
• Lanxess Solutions US, Inc, 214 West Ruby Avenue, Gastonia, NC. The facility discharges to Catawba Creek, a class C
water body in the Catawba River Basin. Permit No. NCS000311.
• Lubrizol Advanced Materials, Inc., 207 Telegraph Drive, Gastonia, NC. The facility discharges to an unnamed
tributary to Crowders Creek, a class C stream in the Catawba River Basin. Permit No. NCS000321.
• Georgia Pacific Mt. Holly, LLC, 100 Buckeye Drive, Mt. Holly, NC. The facility discharges to South Stanley Creek, a
class WS-IV water body in the Catawba River Basin. Permit No. NCS000514.
