STORMWATER DISCHARGE PERMITS
Public comment or objection to the draft permits is invited. Submit written comments to DEMLR at the address below.
All comments received through Friday, September 27, 2019 will be considered in the final determination regarding
permit issuance and permit provisions.
Applications: The following facilities have applied for renewal of their NPDES permits to discharge stormwater from
their locations in Halifax County.
KapStone Kraft Paper Corporation WWTP, 100 Gaston Road, Roanoke Rapids, NC. The facility discharges to the
Roanoke River, a class C water body in the Roanoke River Basin. Permit No. NCS000106.
Shenandoah Wood Preserves, Inc., 301 East 16t" Street, Scotland Neck, NC. The facility discharges to the Kehukee
Swamp, a class C waterbody in the Roanoke River Basin. Permit No. NCS000289.
Myers Industries, 100 Patch Rubber Road, Weldon, NC. The facility discharges to the Roanoke River, a class C
waterbody in the Roanoke River Basin. Permit No. NCS000325.
