Dear Mr. Johnson: On June 22, 2017, Sue White of this office performed an inspection at your facility in Stokesdale, NC to determine if Outfall Two had been successfully rerouted into a pit for reuse. This would enable Vulcan to remove this outfall for qualitative and quantitative sampling. You were present for this inspection. It has been determined that Outfall two may be removed from the site plan and no further sampling 'will be required for this outfall only. Please submit an updated site plan to us for our files and update the site Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan (SPPP) to reflect this change. These updates must be made prior to removing Outfall Two from your sampling rotation. Skvarla, III Secretary March 6, 2013 Subject: Compliance Evaluation Inspection, General Permit No. NCG020000 COC NCG020191, Guilford County Dear Mr. Knopf: On February 27, 2013 Sue White of this office conducted a compliance evaluation inspection at Vulcan Construction Materials Stokesdale Quarry site located at 6826 US Hwy 158, Stokesdale, NC. This type of inspection consists of two basic parts: an in office file review and an on -site inspection of the treatment facility. The following are the findings from the subject inspection: I. Permit -This permit was issued on January 1, 2010 and will expire on December 31, 2014. Permit was readily available for inspection when requested. The Staff showed in depth knowledge of the permit contents and how to remain compliant with permit requirements. Please be advised that the application for permit renewal should be submitted 180 days prior to the permit expiration date. II. Stormwater Pollution Prevention Plan -Plan was well organized and maintained in a binder. All required information was contained in the binder. III. Qualitative monitoring -Being performed and recorded per permit requirements. IV. Quantitative monitoring -Monitoring and record keeping per permit requirements. The site was very consistent with permit requirements. It was a pleasure for the DWQ inspector to visit your site.
