STORMWATER DISCHARGE PERMITS
Public comment or objection to the draft permits is invited. Submit written comments to DEMLR at the address below.
All comments received through Friday, September 13, 2019 will be considered in the final determination regarding
permit issuance and permit provisions.
Applications: The following facilities have applied for renewal of their NPDES permits to discharge stormwater from
their locations in New Hanover County.
• Elementis Chromium, Inc. - Castel Hayne Plant, 5408 Holly Shelter Road, Castle Hayne, NC. The facility discharges to
the Northeast Cape Fear River, a class B; Sw stream in the Cape Fear River Basin. Permit No. NCS000003.
• Carolina Marine Terminal, 3330 River Road, Wilmington, NC. The facility discharges to the Cape Fear River, a class
SC water body in the Cape Fear River Basin. Permit No. NCS000530.
