/ On March 17, 1999 1 conducted a site visit of the property involved in the above
referenced project. It was determined as a result of the site visit that the water body
present on your property on the western edge is a drainage ditch and therefore not
subject to the Neuse River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy;
Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code

This letter addresses only the subjectivity of the ditch under NCAC .0233. For
information relative to the Wetlands 401/404 issues, please contact Mr. John Dorney
