4h. Explain the purpose of the proposed project:*
The purpose of the proposed project is to stabilize the right streambank, which is experienced significant erosion and is threatening a fence on the abutting single-family residential
property.
41. Describe the overall project in detail, including indirect impacts and the type of equipment to be used:*
Due to the proximity of the vertical, eroded streambank to the abutting privately -owned, single-family residential property, the Town proposes to stabilize the streambank where it has
eroded and threatens the fence along the south side of the residential property. Because of the close proximity of the abutting property, wooden stockade fence, and swimming pool,
the use of natural stream design techniques, such as laying back the banks and stabilizing with geotextiles and vegetation, gabions are proposed to permanently stabilize the vertical
streambank and eliminate the loss of the fence and yard of the abutting private property.
4j. Please upload project drawings for the proposed project.

E. Impact Justification and Mitigation
1. Avoidance and Minimization
1a. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts in designing the project:
Stabilization efforts are limited to areas closest to the abutting property and fence.
1b. Specifically describe measures taken to avoid or minimize the proposed impacts through construction techniques:
The amount of streambank proposed for stabilization is the minimum amount necessary to prevent the loss of the fence and additional privately -owned
land to erosion.
2. Compensatory Mitigation for Impacts to Waters of the U.S. or Waters of the State
2a. Does the project require Compensatory Mitigation for impacts to Waters of the U.S. or Waters of the State?

r Level Spreader
r Vegetated Conveyance (lower SHWT)
r Wetland Swale (higher SHWT)
r Other SCM that removes minimum 30 % nitrogen
W Proposed project will not create concentrated stormwater flow through the buffer
