PROJECT NARRATIVE
The purpose of the project is to construct a force main along Granite Mill
Boulevard in the Briar Chapel development. This force main is a continuation of a
force main and pump station (designed by others) that ends at the intersection of
Andrews Store Road and Granite Mill Boulevard and serves the proposed
Chatham County elementary school site. The flow allocation through the force
main will be permitted by others, so this section is being approved for a flow of 0
GPD.
Summary of Sewer Lines to be permitted:
• 756 LF of 4-inch DIP force main
The sewage and wastewater collected by this system will be treated in the on -site
wastewater treatment facility:

the volume of wastewater to be permitted in this project has been evaluated along the route to the
receiving wastewater treatment facility and that the flow from this project is not anticipated to
cause any capacity related sanitary sewer overflows or overburden any downstream pump station
en route to the receiving treatment plant under normal circumstances, given the implementation
of the planned improvements identified in the planning assessment where applicable. This
analysis has been performed in accordance with local established policies and procedures using
the best available data. This certification applies to those items listed above in Sections I and I1

Subject: Granite Mill Blvd. Force Main Extension Fast Track Sewer Extension
Good Afternoon,
We are in the process of reviewing the subject application and require additional information.
• Per the narrative and section VI.8. no flow is being permitted with the current application. However, Section
V1.4,5, and 7 all have flow allocated for the project. Please revise as appropriate. I have adjusted Page 2 of the
Fast Track Application to be consistent with a flow allocation of 0. I have left sections 4, 5 and 7 blank to reflect
this.
• The narrative states that 754 If of 4-in force main is requested, however VI11.5. is requesting 756 If of force
main. Please revise as appropriate. I have corrected the narrative to show the correct length of 756 If.
Once this information is received, and the applicant agrees with the changes, we can move forward with drafting the
permit. Thank you.
