r k On July 7, 1999, I met with you at the subject property to conduct a site visit for the above referenced
project. This project is referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office as NBRRO 99-173. The features
represented on the Johnston County Soils and the USGS maps were evaluated to determine their
r subjectivity to the Neuse Buffer Rule.

As a result, it was determined that Buffalo Creek is the eastern property line and that is represented on
both maps. There are three features present on the soils map but only the feature on the northern
property line is a creek and as such, subject to the Neuse River Basin: Nutrient Sensitive Waters
Management Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas, Administrative Code
T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC 0233). The map received by this Office on July 15, 1999 details the subject
feature. There are no road crossings or other proposed impacts that would be subject to this Rule.
This letter only addresses the applicability of the Neuse Buffer Rules. Thank you for your attention to
