Johnston County Dear Mr. Davis: On April 23, 2010, I, Dave Parnell of the Raleigh Regional Office of the Division of Water Quality, performed a compliance evaluation inspection (CEI) at the referenced facility. Your assistance was helpful and appreciated. This inspection was conducted to determine your compliance with NPDES stormwater general permit referenced above. The following observations were noted during the Division of Water Quality inspection: SITE DESCRIPTION This facility is a manufacturer of thermoset moulded parts and a supplier for major US electrical manufacturing companies. The manufacturing operation was observed during the tour of the facility. There are two stormwater discharge outfalls (SDO) at the facility, which collects stormwater from the building roof, graveled areas and paved areas and piped to the outfalls. The SDO discharge to an unnamed tributary to Buffalo Creek, in the Neuse River Basin. SDO #1 is located on the western side of the property and SDO 92 is located on the southern side of the property. The discharge from both SDO requires qualitative monitoring. Vehicle maintenance is not conducted at this facility, therefore, no analytical monitoring is required.
