Durham County
On November 26, 2019, staff of the NC Division of Water Resources (DWR), Water Quality
Regional Operations Section (WQROS), inspected the subject single-family residence surface
irrigation wastewater treatment and disposal system. The purpose of the visit was to conduct a
compliance inspection.
On the day of the inspection all single family residence wastewater treatment and application
equipment appeared to be well maintained. The septic tank appeared to clean, no floating or caked
residue and the pump tank had a clean appearance as well. The septic tank has not been pumped
since 2012. Currently, there is only one resident in the house. Please plan to have the septic tank
pumped/checked within the next two years. Tanks and floats were checked and appeared to be in
good working condition. System was operated by floats and appeared to be operating properly.
The high water alarm is located in the house and is also in working condition. The spray field was
in good condition all heads were operating as designed.
In addition to the inspection report , I am also including the following information you requested
for future use:
1. Current permit expires June 30, 2020.
2. A copy of the SFR Wastewater Irrigation System Renewal Form which was completed
during the inspection. D WR staff submitted the completed form to our permitting staff on
December 16, 2019. You should receive your new permit on or before June 30, 2020.
3. A copy of the Non -Discharge Permit Ownership/Name Change. This form is only needed
if the property changes ownership.
