Listed below are comments provided by DWR on November 11, 2019 regarding the Polecat
Stream Mitigation Site: Year 2 Monitoring Report and RES' responses.
1. Some of the channels looked pretty choked with vegetation.
There is wetland vegetation growing in the shallows. RES expects it to die back when
the livestakes grow up and shade it out.
2. Also, in the text of the report it stated the 30-day flow requirement but did not specify it
was for intermittent only streams.
RES will update the report to specify the 30-day flow requirement is for intermittent
streams. RES will also report flow days on Crest Gauge 1 in future monitoring years
since it is located on an intermittent portion of the reach.
3. DWR approves of credit release for this project.
