wj This Office has reviewed the information received by this Office on June 22, 1999 relevant to the subject
property and conducted a site visit the same day. This project is referenced by the Raleigh Regional Office
as NBRRO 99-156. It was determined that the unnamed tributary to Mango Creek, indicated on the Wake
ro F = > County Soils and the U.S.G.S. maps is an intermittent stream and therefore subject to the Neuse River Basin:
' Nutrient Sensitive Waters Management Strategy; Protection and Maintenance of Existing Riparian Areas,
Administrative Code T15A:02B.0233 (NCAC 0233).

The stream has been delineated on the map received and the area applicable to protection under the Neuse
Buffer Rules begins at Flag 311 and continues off property. The other portion of the tributary that is subject
t to protection begins near the Highway at Flag 100 and continues off property. There are two breaks in
continuity between Flags 111 and CH 01 and CH 02 and CH 03 where the tributary is not subject top
protection. Please be reminded that sheet flow from stormwater must be maintained, to the maximum
extent practical, through dispersing concentrated flow and/or re-establishment of vegetation to maintain the
efficacy of the riparian area.
