Dear Mr. Simaan:
The final plans and specifications for the subject project have been reviewed
and found to be satisfactory. Authorization is hereby granted for the construction
of a 42,000 GPD extended aeration type wastewater treatment plant consisting of a
bar screen, a 50,000 gallon aeration tank, an 8,300 gallon clarifier, an 8,300
gallon aerated sludge holding tank, a tablet type chlorinator, a 1,040 gallon
chlorine contact tank, a rip-rap re-aeration incline (approximately 3-feet wide,
20-feet long and with a fall of approximately 9 feet), and with piping, fittings,
electrical services, and appurtenances to serve the Crown Mobile Home Park located
off Jonquil Drive .(SR-1142). with the discharge to Hickory Creek.
This Authorization to Construct is issued in accordance with Part III para-
graph C of NPDES Permit No. NCO055255 issued April 6, 1983, and shall be subject
to revocation unless the wastewater treatment facilities are constructed in
accordance with the conditions and limitations specified in Permit No. NC0055255.
The Permittee must. employ a certified wastewater operator in accordance with Part
III paragraph D of the referenced permit.
The sludge generated from these treatment facilities must be disposed of in
accordance with G.S. 143-215.1 and in a manner approvable by the North Carolina
Division of Environmental Management.
