Present during the inspection was i4lr. William Minchew, the Operator in Responsible Charge, whose help and guidance was greatly appreciated. Findings during the inspection were as follows: At the time of the inspection, the NPDES permit was issued effective June 151, 201 5, and expired on October 3I", 2019. The Division received Schlage Lock Company's permit renewal application on June 7"i, 2019, and is in the process of renewing the permit. Please note that Part 11, Section B. 10 of the subject permit requires the permittee to request permit renewal at least 180 days prior to expiration in order to maintain authorization to discharge after the expiration date (May 4t', 2019). 2. The facility is authorized to operate and discharge wastewater from a facility which discharges to receiving waters designated as an unnamed tributary to Beech Branch classified as Class B, Nutrient Sensitive Waters in the Tar -Pamlico River Basin, 3. The facility consists of the following units: collection wells, product separator, equalization tank with transfer pump, air stripper and blower, discharge tank with effluent pump, bag filters, and effluent flow meter with totalizer. Outfall 001 was observed and was free of solids and foam. 4. A review of laboratory results indicates that all parameters are being monitored and analyzed according to the permit. 7. The only field parameter collected at the site is p[-I and the meter is calibrated prior to collection by Mr. Minchew. Other sample analysis is performed by Pace Labs, 6. It is recommended that in the future you submit six months in advance. 2.
