Michael will argue that they should at least be able to switch out the aerators and this will help with current operation - but really, he's submitted some calculations indicating that this modification will allow them to meet limits at 2.5 mgd - which i have some trouble believing because their detention time at 2.5 mgd will be reduced from 24 hrs to 18 hrs - makes it a lot harder to meet the low ammonia limits of 2/1. i really need to speak with him about this and possibly return this ATC. but. . .i don't want to do that until we are all on the same page about designing for the 3 .5 mg/l. with their current proposal for 2.5 mgd, doubt there is any way they can achieve 3 .5 mg/l TN. based on my last voice mail to Michael, likely clayton is doing sommersaults because it essentially scraps their entire proposal for the re-rating - which will be a big problem for Clayton (which i already have some heartburn over their proposal, regardless of the TN requirement) . they still need a FONSI for the 2.5 mgd (and i haven't seen their revised EA yet) . we need to speak about this soon before Clayton calls Tommy or Bill Ross (which I'm surprised they haven't, given that they are approaching capacity on the 1.9 mgd) . r 1 of 1 3/5/01 10:38 AM
