Town of Clayton
Wastewater Treatment Facility Additions,
Phase II - Johnston County
Dear Mr. Brewer:
The final plans and specifications for the subject project have been reviewed
and found to be satisfactory. Authorization is hereby granted for the construction
of Phase II wastewater treatment facility additions to the Torn of Clayton's exist-
ing 0.60 MGD wastewater treatment plant to consist of a 60,000 GPD package nitri-
fication unit with baffled aeration tank, mechanical clarifier, chlorine contact
tank, air diffuser, froth control system; a 60,000 GPD package (gravity) tertiary
filter unit with dual filter cells, backwash storage tank, dual backwash pumps, air
scour equipment, and associated piping and appurtenances.
This is a Class III Wastewater Treatment Plant which requires that the operator
in responsible charge must hold a valid Grade III Certificate.
This Authorization to Construct shall be subject to revocation unless the
wastewater treatment facilities are constructed in accordance with the conditions
and limitations specified in Permit No. NC 0025453.
One (1) set of approved plans and specifications is being forwarded to you.
