This was a follow up inspection to check the repair of the tertiary filters at the Brookside WWTP. Tim
Heim, Landon Davidson, and I (Daniel Boss) all conducted the inspection and we met onsite with Mark
Jones (ORC) who guided us through the tertiary filter operation.
The tertiary filters are now fully functional, but Mr. Jones is still in the process of remediating the tertiary
filter operation. All the pumps and blowers are now working, but Mr. Jones believes that there are still
some solids trapped in a bottom layer of the media which is limiting the ability of the filter to backwash.
Mr. Jones has access to the outfall and has identified the location of the discharge. He is still in the
process of clearing the full right of way.
